Salut sweet coquettes, if a picture speaks a thousand words then photographers are masters at prose. By snatching a moment that transcends language, and propels forward with meaning - they give their photos a story. Here, a batch of photographers that we look to for more than just a pretty girl. P.S. Lots of lingerie included! Intrigued?
Guy Bourdin
Guy Bourdin’s world of photography was beautiful to the point of discomfort. A model once said that it took a sadomasochist to pose for him.
As a Vogue photographer for the bulk of his career, he was one of the first to take fashion to the dark side.
His irreverent campaigns for Charles Jourdan in the 70s literally turned the ad world upside down.
Helmut Newton went taboo with his photographs, and we are glad he did. Corsetry never looked so gorgeous!
Helmut Newton
Though he was quite famous for his nudes, Mr. Newton had the fashion industry at his beck and call.
The King of Kink gave us an erotic peep show through his photos. Everyone wanted a look inside his dreamlike and often dysfunctional haven. We still do!
On a recent visit to the Peninsula Hotel in NYC, this photograph by Erwin Olaf caught our gaze.
Erwin Olaf
The haunting appeal in his Hotel series reeled us in with magnetic lure.
Ellen von Unwerth perfectly captures the underpinnings of a true LPC women. Sexy, sassy and playful – her pictures are about having fun with sexuality. We love!
Ellen von Unwerth
For us it all began with her shots of Claudia Schiffer. Who can forget the original Guess Girl?
Tom Munro
Tom Munro shoots celebritites in a fresh and vulnerable light. Often times in bed.
And always looking foxy!

Beautiful photographs, especially the Helmut Newton selections! I'd also add Corinne Day's lingerie editorial with Kate Moss, that which made her career, to this list, although the images are arguably less sexy and more youthful than those featured here. (And, I do want to politely add that the correct terminology is "masochist," not "sadomasochist"!)

Such a great idea! I am so intimidated taking photos in restaurants, but I'd love to play! Let's see where this weekend takes me.;
